Some broken people can hurt you without thought
But believe me when I say it’s not their fault
With an open wound as delicious as yours
It would be a shame not to rub in the salt
So why do you insist on shaking that girl
Do you like playing the martyr on your knees?
Acting like you’re a paragon of purity
Well today that purity feels ripe for disease
Some broken people cry not knowing what for
Have sympathy as they weren’t born with black hearts
Like you and I they have grey matter in their brain
But their thoughts are a great distance from dark
So why do you insist on hitting that girl
When she stopped feeling many blue moons ago?
A waste of energy, like her wasted breath
When she told you that her safe word was ‘no’
Some broken people lash out without warning
At those close to them that they hold most dear
Trying to fight away those armed with feelings
Yet at the same time wishing that they were near
So why do you insist on leaving that girl?
She’s a conundrum you’re unable to solve
Yes, it’s dark in there but that’s how she likes it
It’s where her beautiful, twisted thoughts revolve
But believe me when I say it’s not their fault

It Was Never You...
It really wasn't...
And I know that I can twist this truth as much as I want...
Whenever I'm sober, when I know I can put up that fake plastic smile;
Just a few formal words that burn like acid from a liar's lips!
"Differences in personality, a divergence in ideals..."
Please, fucking, SPARE ME!
Because when I look in this mirror, I know.
When I see myself looking back at me, I know.
Right here, right in front of my own blackened self;
Those eyes that both reflect and stare into my dingy soul.
I was the problem.
I was the instigator.
I was the perpetrator.
And when I had broken every last bit of her,
I was the one, who let it al

Tell me you see me
Tell me you see me...
Not the boy smiling
in the reflection of your eyes,
the green pool which
he had so readily dived into.
No, not that pathetic imitation
of joyful emotion
but rather
the authentic personification
of sorrow
lying at that boy's feet.
Can't you see me?
I imagine I must be there
though within the pool
of your eyes
I can only find
that deceiving mask of an individual,
without depth
without feeling
without strife
without emotion
aside
from that disgusting imitation of joy.
Come you must see!
I am here!
Not the boy you see standing
but instead the boy
holding the floor
for it
it offers me the comfort of closeness,
the boy s
